Blair Drummond Safari Park

Attractions

There are many attractions to help you get up close to the Trossachs scenery and history. The most exhilarating of which is an abseil above treetops through a forest, a far more relaxed way to immerse yourself in the landscapes is with a cruise on Loch Katrine.

Visit two of Scotland's most important historic sites, Inchmahome Priory and Doune Castle, taste a glass of whisky or gin distilled in the Trossachs, or for something completely different see stomping dinosaurs during a Blair Drummond Safari Park adventure.

Here are some details of these and other Visitor Attractions in the Trossachs.

At Trossachs Pier on Loch Katrine, there are frequent departures of cruises on the loch. The most famous of the boats is the Sir Walter Scott Steamship which is currently out of service awaiting repair. She has sailed on the loch since 1900. The other cruise boats are Lady of the Lake, named after Scott’s famous poem of 1810, Rob Roy III named after the outlaw born at the loch and Osprey available for small charters.

The Pier also has a cafe, gift shop and eco camp. The Eco-camp consists of a series of Glamping pods, in separate grounds by the loch.

Blair Drummond Safari PArk

The popular Safari and adventure park has entertained families for over 50 years. There are many ways to get up close to the rare and protected animals, with drive-through and walking safari, boat trips to Chimp Island, plus bird of prey and sea lion shows.

There is also an excellent playground for children with large forts, flying foxes and newly opened World of Dinosaurs, with over twenty moving, stomping and screeching dinosaurs.
