Follow the brown Trossachs Trail road signs to discover natural wonders, attractive villages, charming shops and cafes and starting points for adventures by foot, bike and boat.

The Trossachs has come to describe a large area of woodland, lochs and mountains between Callander and Aberfoyle, though the name comes from a small wooded glen that leads from Loch Achray to Loch Katrine.

The 40-mile Trossachs Trail was inspired by the original Trossachs Tour, popular in the 1800s when visitors arrived by horse-drawn coach and later by rail. Today’s trail follows a road loop but, through detours and off-road tracks, covers a much wider area to explore and enjoy.

This new website will help you to explore and experience for yourself the amazing beauty, natural wonders and hospitality in and around the Trossachs.

To get you started we’ve compiled a list of some of the best wonders, attractions and things to do along the Trossachs Trail in a highlights guide. Click below to read.

“The place was all eye, and completely satisfied the sense and the heart”
